Vintage, festive and colorful cup and saucer set. It looks hand painted with large flowers, fruits and leaves on the inside of the saucer and the outside of the cup.. The saucer is 6" in diameter cupped to 1 1/4" tall. The cup is 1 1/4" tall and 3 7/8" top diameter. Made in Mexico and marked SURO 4 HNOS. RA TCAQ. JAL. < Mexico +o. This was bought in the 70s and I don't know if it was made prior to then. Very decorative set for use or display.
Blue and White pottery cup and saucer from Mexico. Saucer is 6 1/4" in diameter cupped to 7/8" tall. Cup is 2 7/8" tall, 3 1/2" top diameter. Hand painted blue leaf design with a bird in the center of the saucer. The Anfora company was founded by German immigrants in Mexico City in 1920. They produce durable dinnerware that is scratch resistant, lead free, dishwasher, and microwave safe.. Mark on the bottom of both pieces reads "Hecho en Mexico,( Anfora symbol is a pottery vase logo) MCA #16, Anfora, fintado A manc. Very nice Mexican pottery that looks more like china, in Excellent Condition.
#CS2-4 Vintage Rounded Cup/Mug and Saucer with Molded Layers.
The pattern looks like light burgundy rose petals that are shaded from dark to light from the round bottom foot up to the scalloped rim. Cup is 3 3/8" tall, 2 3/4" top diameter. Saucer is 6 1/8" in diameter and is missing one of the scalloped points. The cup has a small nick chip at the top and a flake chip on the foot that you can see in the pictures .The petals have light gold trim and there is a darker gold trim, like stems, coming from the base. Otherwise the cup and saucer ire in good condition and too pretty to discard. I would guess it is from the 40s or 50s. Beautiful for display with your vintage collection. Price adjusted.
This white pottery shaving mug is 3 3/4" tall and 3 ½" top diameter. There is a surface only hairline crack inside the mug that would not show on display or affect the use of the mug. There is some wear to the gold trim at the the top rim and bottom edge. The gold 3 and line beneath are in good condition. In the early 1900's the customers of a barber shop had their own mugs that were identified in some way. They were often lined up for display on a shelf in the Barber Shop. This one with a number was probably the private shaving mug of a particular customer.There would be a round bar of shaving soap and round brush with possibly a Bakelite handle inside the mug. In those days people had more time to enjoy a barber shop shave and would visit with the barber and other customers. Remember, "Shave and Hair Cut, 6 bits.?" #CS2-6 Vintage Mustache Mug and Saucer
This is rather an elaborate design for a mustache cup in that it is a
pink/mauve color and has a large floral design that covers half of the outside of the cup. It is 3 1/4" tall and 3 3/8 top diameter. There is some worn gold trim around the rim and the mustache bar inside the cup and on the handle
and the edge trim of the saucer. The deep saucer is 1 3/8" deep and 6 3/8" in diameter. There are no chips or cracks or loss of color in the design or background color. There is a mark in gold on the bottom that reads 2251. These cups, especially with saucers, are highly collectible and since mustaches, even the handlebars, are back in style this is a unique cup for use or display. #CS2-7 Scarborough Faire Stein, Millstadt Pottery, 1991
This is a heavy, quality pottery stein with elaborate handle and detailed paneled sides with curved top and base. Image in the medallion is colorful and looks hand painted and glazed. It is 6 3/8"" tall and 2 3/4" top diameter.
There are no chips or cracks or loss of color in the design or brown background color. There is a mark on the bottom that reads By The Millstadt Pottery with the Logo.medallion on one side reads 11th Annual Scarborough Faire 1991. Picture of a jester and imp inside the medallion. You can do a search and find a lot of information on the Scarborough Faire. It is a traditional English Fair, also a song, and is an Annual Renaissance Festival. It is also celebrated in Texas. This stein is in excellent condition. Unique and hardy container for your ale or even hot chocolate. Wonderful for display.
Vintage and Unique is this cup & saucer set. There is a backstamp that reads DAN. It is quality pottery in two shades of green with a crackle finish. No handle on the cup which has an outside layer with heart shaped cut outs around the bottom half of the cup. The hearts have gold trim with the center one in the groups of 3, being a darker color. There is gold trim around the edges of cup and saucer, and gold horse designs inside the bottom of the cup and on the saucer. There is an additional gold design on the saucer. Saucer is 5 3/8" in diameter cupped to 1" tall. The cup is 3 1/4" tall and 3" top diameter. . No chips, cracks or flaws. Very unusual and distinctive set for use or display in Very Good + condition.
