These are vintage metal cookie cutters, made from aluminum and date from the 40s through the 60s. Plastic was invented in the 1940s and it took awhile for companies to get around to making the plastic cookie cutters like Hallmark, Wilton, and HRM. Until then almost every household cherished their tin or aluminum cookie cutters. They especially baked large batches of cookies through the Holidays. The newer metal cookie cutters are made from all grades of aluminum and steel but most of them are shapers rather than the more artistic solid cookie cutters like these. These are sought after by collectors today.
