#PIX-1A, 1B, Vintage Oil Painting Landscapes
Original oil paintings from 30 to 40 years ago. Unsigned. Excellent condition.Please click to enlarge so you can see the pictures better. Nice wood frames 28 7/8 " long by 22 7/8" wide The frame is 3" wide with brown and gold trim. There are a few small scuffs on the frame that could easily be touched up. Looks fine though like they are. The painting canvas is approximately 18" by 24".Paper dust covers and wire to each side hanger on the backs. ClickHERE to view back of pictures.
1A shows a barn, rock fence, dirt road and trees.
1B shows a pond, creek, cloudy sky and landscape. No scratches or flaws in the pictures. Really pretty oils done by a nonprofessional artist.
Vintage 80s Lovely handcrafted, country decor. Wood frames with glass, 10" by 12". Print fabric background with rick-rack trim. Dried flowers in oval trimmed with lace. Rick Rack border. Fabric hanger with brass ring to hang, brown paper dust cover in back. Very Good Condition. Would complement a Victorian, Country or Early American Decor.
#PIX-6 Large Hexagon Green Marble Aztec Calendar Sun-Stone
This is a vintage 70s and unusual 18" diameter wall
decoration. I didn't know what it was but a visitor
answered my request and told me all about it ".It is
an engraved example of the famous Aztec Sun Stone.
The Aztec name for the huge basaltic monolith is Cuauhxicalli (Eagle Bowl), but it is universally known as the Aztec Calendar or Sun Stone. It was during the reign of the 6th Aztec monarch in 1479 that this stone was carved and dedicated to the principal Aztec deity: the sun. The stone has both mythological and astronomical significance.On December 17th, 1760 the stone was discovered, buried in the "Zocalo" (the main square) of Mexico City."

I believe this one dates back to the 60s or 70s when such items were in vogue. It is mounted inside a wood back and frame with intricate carving 1 1/2" wide inside the 6 sides. There is an 11" diameter hexagon in the center with red velvet in between the carvings. The carvings are a verdigris, darkish green color more like the first picture, that looks and feels like stone. There is a sawtooth hanger on the back. There are two small shallow chips in the wood edge of one side that could easily be filled in with a brown stick like you use on furniture. About a third of the inside hexagon edge has smoothly chipped off and is hardly noticeable.The surface of the carving is in very good condition as is the velvet lining.This is an interesting and somewhat rare collectible.
Vintage 70s, picture of a collector plate, "Welcome to Hog Heaven." Wood frame, black, with glass, 10 1/2" by 8 5/8". Shows a happy Hog Family resting on a rock fence covered with blooming morning glories. Whimsical and amusing picture. Great find for the pig/hog collector. No flaws and in Very Good Condition.

Click HEREto see label. 9" by 9". Decorative hook on top and hole in back to hang on a nail. Composition back 1/2" thick with beveled top edge and wrapped in clear paper. There is a small round hole in the center and a larger hole in the paper on the lower right side. I would suggest removing the paper and using decoupage glue over the picture. Good Condition. Lovely old fashioned after church scene.
#PIX-5 Mexican Boy At Well Chalk Wall Sculpture Plaque
Vintage and Unique 3 dimensional wall sculpture plaque of boy at well with a pottery vessel to draw water. Very detailed Stone well with Tile roof. The boy is wearing a large sombrero, Shirt with open collar, jagged pants legs, a fringed serape and sandals. There is a large basket and 2 small pottery containers on the ground and a larger pot in his right hand. There is a green Sedona cactus behind the boy on the right side of the well. The shaped plaque base is 10" long,
7 ¾" wide and 1" thick. The sculpture is 6 ½" long, 5 ½" wide and extends 3" deep above the base. There is a hook on the back to hang. I don't know if it was hand made or manufactured. It is hand painted in rich muted colors. There is a small smudge at the top of the base but no chips, cracks or paint loss. Overall in Very Good Plus Condition. Very nice wall sculpture to complement a Spanish or Southwestern décor.
This handpainted chalk plaque was done in the 60s. They were very popular in the 60s and 70s. I have two chalk plaques in my kitchen. This one is nicely done with 3 mushrooms and small flowers with a wood like grain background. Embedded wire loop for hanging on the back. There are no chips or cracks in the chalk. Will complement any Country, Retro or Early American Decor. Nostalgic and decorative item in Very Good Condition.
